Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS: return, multipliers and what the trigger really costs
BGaming publishes 96.7%, effectively level with the best figure on this site, and caps the game at 5,000x - a fifth of the Sugar Rush 1000 ceiling. Read together, those two numbers describe a game that gives more back through ordinary play instead of hoarding it for an extreme outcome, and the second feature is how it does that. The Coin Respin pays on its own terms rather than through the free spins, so there are two exits from a dead run instead of one. On a very high volatility slot that matters more than the ceiling does, because the thing that actually ends most sessions is not a small maximum win, it is never reaching a feature at all. It is also the only genuinely different mechanic on this site. TRUEWAYS is not a Megaways reskin and it is not another Pragmatic tumble grid: units split after a win has landed, so the ways count grows out of a result you already have rather than being set before the spin resolves. Against that, the theme has aged badly, and BGaming's thinner Canadian distribution means you will find it in fewer lobbies than anything else reviewed here. Worth a last note on honesty: BGaming publishes its ceiling. Two of the four Pragmatic titles on this site do not, and that willingness to state a number is worth something when you are trying to compare games rather than marketing. The table below comes from BGaming directly. Slot specifications rot when they are copied between review sites - a digit moves, a max win gets rounded up, and six months later everyone is quoting the same wrong number. A blank on the provider's page stays blank here.

The case for and against
Pros
- 96.7% is level with the highest published return on this site and above both 1000-series titles
- Two independent features with separate triggers, so a dead run has two ways to end rather than one
- The Coin Respin pays in fixed values from 1x to 20x, legible on screen in a way a multiplier chain is not
- TRUEWAYS splitting is a genuinely different mechanic rather than a Megaways rebadge
- Chance x2 raises trigger frequency without committing to a full-price bonus buy
- BGaming publishes a maximum win, which two of the Pragmatic titles reviewed here do not
Cons
- The 5,000x ceiling is a fifth of Sugar Rush 1000 and modest for a very high volatility rating
- Very high volatility with a long, quiet base game between features
- The high return arrives in modest increments, which reads as unrewarding across a short session
- BGaming has thinner Canadian distribution than Pragmatic Play, so far fewer lobbies carry it
- The Elvis parody theme and its audio loop have aged, and there is no way to turn the concept down
How the feature triggers and pays
Reel units split into smaller units mid-spin, and each new unit keeps the win of the unit it came from, so the number of ways grows during the spin itself rather than being fixed when the reels stop. That is the whole distinction from Megaways, which decides reel height before the spin resolves. The free spins need four bonus symbols at minimum, and land better on five or six. Separately and independently, six or more coin symbols trigger a Coin Respin in which only coin symbols can land, each valued between 1x and 20x the bet, and the total is simply the sum of what lands. A buy-bonus button and a Chance x2 side bet both shorten the wait to a feature at a cost to your stake - the side bet raises the stake to raise trigger frequency, which changes the volatility of the session without changing the underlying return. Because the Coin Respin resolves in fixed coin values rather than through a multiplier chain, it is the most legible feature on this site: you can see the round's value accumulating rather than having to trust a combined multiplier at the end of a tumble.
That is the whole engine. At very high volatility the return arrives in a handful of large, widely spaced events, so 96.7% is an average taken over a sample no player will ever produce. A session is not a small version of the long run. It is a different thing.
The symbols that matter
| Element | What it changes |
|---|---|
| TRUEWAYS split | A reel unit divides mid-spin and each new unit keeps the win it inherited from the original |
| Bonus symbol | Four, five or six open the free spins round |
| Coin symbol | Six or more start the Coin Respin, a separate feature with an entirely separate trigger |
| Coin value | Each coin is worth between 1x and 20x the bet, and the round total is their sum |
| Chance x2 | Optional side bet that raises the stake to raise the odds of reaching either feature |
| Max win | BGaming states 5,000x the stake on its own game page - published plainly, unlike two of the four Pragmatic titles reviewed on this site |
A session, written down as it happened
None of the figures above describe the rhythm of the game. This is one session, logged as it went, so the gaps are in it as well as the wins.
A single run proves nothing about the maths. It is published so you know what the quiet stretches feel like before they cost you.

Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS and the Canadian rules
Demo play is legal across the country because no wager is made. Real-money play is a different question with a different answer in each province: iGaming Ontario registers the operators allowed to take an Ontario bet, and those operators must ship the game without its bonus buy. Alberta has PlayAlberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan have PlayNow, and Québec has Espacejeux. Anything outside that list is an offshore licence, whatever its homepage implies. We put that here rather than in the footer on purpose.
The practical filter is short: a CAD account rather than a CAD display, and Interac in both directions. Converting to US dollars and back costs a few percent each way, which is a larger number than the entire distance between 96.7% and a worse game.
